HSA Proposals Advance out of Committee
The House Committee on Ways and Means advanced several bills to expand health options and increase flexibility for workers. H.R. 1843, introduced by Rep. Michelle Steel (R-CA), would permanently allow pre-deductible coverage of telehealth services for high deductible health plans. The bill was approved by a 30-12 vote. H.R. 3800, introduced by Rep. Brad Wenstrup (R-OH), would allow employers to offer pre-deductible coverage of 14 chronic care health services for employees using a high-deductible health plan. The proposal was approved by a 34-6 vote.
